Tri-Skills Gymnastics programs are designed to cater for students of all ages in an atmosphere of fun, challenge and safety.
The program content is based on the Dominant Movement Patterns which include:
- statics
- springing
- landings
|
- rotations
- swinging
- locomotion
|
The Tri-Skills gymnastics program includes:
- Floor activities including forward and backward rolls, handstands and cartwheels
- An endless range of activities on balance beams and parallel bars
- Springing and landing safely using vaults, mini tramps, super soft mats and the landing pits filled with thousands of pieces of foam
The students will experience an improvement in their:
- hand-eye coordination
- social skills

- strength and control
- confidence

Each lesson is for approximately 60 minutes and caters for 2 classes. Tri-Skills provide 2 instructors who teach the program and are assisted in monitoring behaviour by the 2 school teachers.
Child Care Centres (Kindergym)
A child centred program with the environment structured to meet the needs of the child. Young children are encouraged to explore, developing their physical skills and gain confidence.& competence as they move and climb. Each session begins or concludes with a grouptime to provide the opportunity for the children, their parents and carers to experience co-ordination games, simple dances, music and movement activities whilst developing listening skills.
Kindys (Junior Triskills) (3-5 years old)
This program is a structured movement session/s beginning with a group dance and warmup activities progressing through to gymnastics and sports stations set up in a fun, safe circuit approach. The children work enthusiastically with their carers and the Tri-Skills teachers to enhance skills at this wonderful age.
The Junior Tri-Skills program includes:
- Simple dances & rhythm activities
- Spring & landing safety using soft vault and mini tramps
- Tumbling activities including forward rolls and cartwheels
- A diverse range of activities on balance beams and parallel bars
- Foundation ball skills of controlling, receiving & propelling using balls, hoops, beansbags, bats and sticks.
Tri-Skills fully set-up gymnastics centre provides action packed excursions for:
- OSHC programs
- Vacation Care Groups
- Youth Groups
Sessions conducted by Tri-Skills staff range from 1-3 hours with our bus included in the fee. Professional Development Workshop for schools.
As a registered DETE Professional Development provider and involved in writing PEP Gymnastics, Tri-Skills Manager,
Heater Mooney will tailor a workshop to suit your school's needs.
These can be an 1 hour introduction to the resources or 3-6 hours theory/practical sessions.
PEP Gymnastics is based on the Dominant Movement Patterns and fit within the Curriculum frameworks.
